Blue is the color of the Throat Chakra, also known as Visuddha. This chakra is located in the throat. It is linked to the throat, neck, hands, and arms. The Throat Chakra is connected with speech and hearing, and encourages spiritual communication. Opening the Throat Chakra is said to improve clairaudience. It is thought that blue colored energy can help us to fight infection. If this chakra is out of balance you may experience voice problems like laryngitis, sore throats, swollen glands, hearing problems, jaw and neck issues, thyroid imbalances and ear infections. All of these could use the energy of the color blue.On the positive side blue symbolizes, Spirituality Faith, Serenity, Security, Calm, Fidelity, Confidence, Success

It's pretty basic

1. Why spend 23.33% or 700 billion more for people who can do without it?
2. Demand of products creates jobs, not tax cuts. Business owners wont create jobs when there is no growth in demand for their products.
3. Demand for products is created by stabilizing the economy.
4. Stability in the economy is created by increasing spending.
5. Increasing spending is created by allowing the majority of the country some more financial breathing room.
6. More financial breathing room for the majority of the country is created by cutting taxes and creating government jobs to get people ahead.
7. The top 5% has plenty of breathing room and adding a tax cut will not increase their spending. I get that logical conclusion from the fact that the top 5% holds approximately 36% of the nations wealth in thei bank account and didn't spend that either.

Conclusion;
1. No tax cuts for the top 5% but for the other 95% will increase consumer spending, economic stability and create jobs without spending the additional 23.33%.

2. Spending 23.33% more will get the job done as well but add 700 billion to the deficit without enough reason to justify it.

Seasons Greetings for 09 now up!

Hello all! To those that celebrated hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Rock Angel Gallery had a working holiday! But it was fun... we now have all our new holiday cards and US postage up.
We have had to say sad fair well to our main affiliation with Cafepress. We felt their raising of prices without opening up more options for our clients was no longer
worth the work, we were not even allowed to print all sides of our
cards! So from now on our new designs are exclusive to our shop. The quality is far superior and with their tools you can use our designs
and customize the inside with loads of fonts and your own personal message. Production and shipping is fast so you can get all
your cards in one place. We have everything from traditional Christmas greetingsto our very popular Winter Solstice lines. Not to mention our the very cute Anime
Inspired
cards! All with Stamps that can be used here in the USA!

Check out some samples of what you will find there!

..

And while there check out our other holiday goodiessuch as our ..! All of them fully customizable.

If you need a design for cards let me know. I have time for a few
limited commissions if you have a band, promotional or charity project
you would love nice specific designs for!

Thank you everyone who stops by!

On the Move

Heres the deal...after almost 10 years of the sedentary life I will be on the move again starting on July 6th. My gallery will be closed to new commissions during the next 2 months at least. The store will of course be up and running with my designs available on all sorts of fun things including tee shirts, drinkware, stickers and much more. New designs may show up but it is unlikely.

No new fan art in this time either. I will be on the East Coast for the next couple of months enjoying a much needed vacation and contemplating where my life will end up... there or a return to the West Coast. While I will have access to the net updates will be rare. I will try to check in here.. but we will be focused on whats going to happen next with my personal life.

I really need this... and while I will try to be frugal... I'm betting I drain my savings on this one and I just don't care. I need a long vacation. I think Fanatic and V will understand. Wink

I will be back no matter what though, by Sept at least. I just need to get myself together again.

A New Year!

Here is hoping it is as wonderful as the last. :) Or even better. LOL I have been very lucky this past year. The art has continued to do better and better in sales. I have remained healthy and gotten in even better shape. My family are all healthy and doing well. I have made many many new friends and found a way to both put my own well being and interests first without totally neglecting those I care for.

Finding balance is hard... but when it's found you just don't lose it easily. I have been fortunate to reacquaint myself with a couple of old friends with whom I did not part well. I am happy to say we have all managed to leave that past where it belongs and move on to a new better time. It's amazing how much I have changed in the last 5 years. Sometimes it feels like I really died at some point and became someone else. They say that happens to a person every 5 to 8 years. I hope I keep changing for the better. :)

So to all my friends out there who drop by this blog (not many really.. as you guys hear from me elsewhere. LOL)I hope you had a wonderful and safe holiday time. A fun New Years day and I wish you all the very best for the new year!! Love you guys! ;)

What a stressful sad week. There is always hope for tomorrow... but some weeks just hit to hard. My best friends dad died over the Thanksgiving day weekend. They were also celebrating their 44th anniversary. I was not able to get back to him right off as my computer had been slaughtered with a really bad virus. I feel so bad I can't be there for him.

I am still waiting to hear back from him. I know he's busy now... but I worry about him.

The house is coming a long. Things are going very well out here... except the computer thing. My new security software has been locking me out of my ftp. So until I get that resolved this is the only place to get my new work. LOL OK here and my DA account. Anyhoo.. here is my new winter work. Took starting over 3 times after getting half done and deciding I didn't like the pose. Fourth time was the charm. :)

The Triangle Complex Fire

Yes I was actually on my walk/run at just after 9 am and saw the first wispy plumes of smoke. I thought it was another house fire. We've had a couple this year locally. Which has made me paranoid as heck. Anyhoo....who knew it was gonna grow into the howling monster it became. We were about 4 mile from the eastern flank. Which made for a great view... and a few terrifying nights hoping the wind didn't shift. Here so pics, I didn't take these... but I do have a couple from my street. I'll post those soon. :)!

Cards up

I have some new cards up at the Zazzle store for the holidays. Stamps too. Don't know where I found the time.

Good Riddence!

They raise taxes and blame the dems
They screw up the economy and blame the dems
They start a war and blame the dems
They increase the debt and blame the dems
They kill education and blame the dems
They kill all moral values and blame the dems

Seriously... during both past elections I read more crap from conservatives saying it was all just "sour grapes" from the liberals. Telling us to get over it and accept Bush was my president too. I just shook my head and waited. Like all things everything comes in waves and I knew the Democrats would come to power again soon. And on that day I knew all those conservatives who told liberals to shut it and accept it would be parroting back our words to us ( as they wouldn't be able to come up with their own.)

They would like to blame the dems for the downturn in the economy since we controlled the senate for the last 2 years (But they only controlled by a slim margin starting in 07). But we all know... whether we like it or no... that this downturn was in the works for far more years that that. With seriously lousy conservative leadership.

Smartest thing America has done in 6 years!

This woman has got to be the most self absorbed, self centered, power monger of the female persuasion I have ever seen. The only platform I've seen her run on is doing her level best to point out the foible of those she is against in hopes it will overshadow her own woefully inadequate abilities. All I get from her is a strong desire to force her way of life, her ethics her morals and her lifestyle on everyone. She is blatantly holier than thou. She is the exact kind of close minded, set in her way, lord it over all, I'm better than you elitist we need to make every effort to keep OUT of the White House and indeed out of any place of power. This woman is Horrifying in her ignorance, frightening in her intolerance and unacceptable in her experience! I was a McCain supporter when he ran against Bush... but now he just seems old and addled.. and picking this poor example of woman as his VP simply is verification that his days of being a force for the people is well and truly dead and buried. Looks like I stay with the dems again.

Sarah Palin: Alaska's Dead Wolf Pups Demand Justice!
Target: Alaska Governor Sarah Palin
Sponsored by: Care2.com

This summer, Alaska wildlife agency personnel reportedly staked out a known wolf denning site – a practice that is illegal under Alaska law – and, using helicopters, gunned down 14 adult wolves from the air.

When they landed, they found 14 helpless pups in the nearby dens – infant wolves just weeks old – and methodically shot each one in the head. 28 wolves gunned down in all.

Due to a loophole in federal law, Alaska is the only state in the U.S. where a few hunters still use aircraft to shoot wolves or chase them to exhaustion before landing and shooting them point blank. But the practice of "denning" – the killing of wolf young in the den – is prohibited even under Alaska law. This killing of 14 wolf pups disturbs even longtime hunters in Alaska.

During her two years as governor, Sarah Palin proposed a $150 bounty for the severed foreleg of each killed wolf and introduced legislation to make it even easier to use aircraft to hunt wolves and bears. But it's time that Governor Palin call for a thorough investigation into the killing of these 14 wolf pups, and bring any Alaska employees who acted illegally to justice.

Governor Palin presents herself as a pro-ethics reform politician. Please sign our petition to hold her accountable to her promises and send an email to your friends to spread the word.

Rock Angel Gallery Relaunches!

Well it's finely happened! After 2 months 2 weeks the complete revamping of rockangel. com is complete! Including both our stores and our art and music community The Last Bastion.
We relaunched it last night and so far it's been a beautifully smooth transition!

We have a heavy emphasis on art and writing (both fine and graphic art and short stories and poetry). I will be looking for people interested in Moderating some of these forums. Writers who plan to post more than a single chapter will get their own forums for each of their "series" they want to post. And by the new year we will be offering prizes for contest winners in the art forums.
I will be migrating the forums to the rockangel.com servers in the next 3 months as well. It will make them run far smoother. But I am hiring help wit that. TLB has been around a while but I shut it down for a bit while I was working on the art business. Now I'd love to get it going again but don't wan tto mess up and lose the threads there during migration.

Hopefully by Feb Rock Angel Gallery will be launching our new Skateboard line as well. I've always kinda wanted to do snowboards... but skateboards are the next best thing. I'll also be offering some of my work on some interesting items in the new year.

Thanks to everyone who has supported me in this endeavor. I could not have done it without the support of my friends and family over the last 10 years.
Here is to many more!
